- About Ionosphere
The ionosphere is the region where the earth's atmosphere is ionized by the light of the sun (extreme ultraviolet rays) and is in an electrically charged state. It exists at altitudes of about 60 km to 1000 km.
The density (electron density) of the ionosphere generally has a peak at a height of about 300 km, and the ionosphere fluctuates under the influence of the earth's magnetic field and solar activity.
